Program looking for potential leaders

Swan Hill women can learn to lead the way when it comes to ensuring the region's long-term viability.

The National Centre for Sustainability and the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE Swan Hill is running a Women Leading Change Program.

The program aims to build the skills, networks and capacity of women in agriculture, fisheries and forestry-related industries to help them to participate in leadership roles at local, regional and national level.

The program is free to women in the region who aspire to develop leadership skills and further their knowledge of sustainability practices.

The project launch will take place in early April with an orientation day and leadership management workshop. Accredited training and further workshops will continue until June.

The program is supported by the Australian Government's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry through its Australias Farming Future program.
