solar powerA community program aims to deliver affordable solar power to goulburn valley families.

A not for profit community company is looking to deliver a bulk-buy solar-energy project to residents living in the Goulburn and Murray valley regions of northern Victoria.
The new Solar Valley Goes Solar project will reduce household energy bills and carbon footprints, in a bid to create a sustainable future.
Open to residents in Shepparton, Cobram, and Echuca and surrounding regions SVGS is offering residents a fully installed, complete 1.5kW Solar system.
Yvonne Forrest is one of the driving forces behind SVGS and their effective community solar program.
With over 700 systems installed in Shepparton and over 2000 installations across the region, SVGS is delivering to the community.
We are the most successful community driven solar project anywhere in Australia. Importantly we are a genuine not-for profit organisation focused on delivering the best products at the best prices to as many residents as possible, Ms Forrest said.
The new scheme offers a complete 1.5 kW solar system fully installed, or larger systems and upgrades available, if required.
We are very excited to be able to offer this deal to any household interested in reducing their carbon footprint, increasing their energy efficiency and reducing their power bills.
The new Solar panel bulk buy is only available until the end of January 2011.
